One Precious Day, birth course (March 29th)

March 29, 2020 @ 9:15 am 5:30 pm

YES, we are going ahead with this low numbered, private education course. We see the value of birth education for ongoing, long term health as very essential. BUT we are very committed to ensuring that by doing so, we do not risk transmitting ANY viruses unwittingly from participant to participant or participant to venue, or venue to participant. Hence, we will be continuing our usual high quality of hygiene and even enforcing further, stricter hygiene measures, as recommended by the Health Department. Further, we will be offering Live Streaming ZOOM participation for any participants that for any reason choose to self isolate at the time of the course. We are HIGHLY committed to working very hard towards assisting women and their supporters to prepare for birth and to be supported as best as possible to experience positive birth and post-birth experiences.

Common birth mistakes and how to avoid them.

birth mistakes

This January, all around the world, all the various Positive Birth Movement groups are discussing “Birth Choices” as a topic.

To honour the significance and importance of this topic, we will gather and share with pregnant participants, their partners and supporters, the “most common birth mistakes and how to avoid them”.

Traditionally our culture learnt by story telling and sharing in circle. Our meetings always include women sharing their personal positive birth stories packed with wisdoms and learnings.

We will also have some Newcastle Birth Movement doulas/birth educators presenting factual and helpful information on the topic.

If you feel interested to attend, act upon that, as this meeting will NOT happen again for another 12 months.

Meeting starts at 7pm and officially completes by 8.30pm, although you are very welcome to stay and chat afterwards up until 9pm (when we head home). We will also have a very special start time of 6.30pm for PBM team members to come and have a PBM 2020 general meeting, this meeting is open to members of the public who wish to join us in some volunteer/professional capacity in 2020. (just message us to let us know you are coming and what your interests are).
